📣 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our program is a youth-focused recreational basketball league for boys and girls ages 6–14.

JCW Jr. NBA Basketball focuses on learning, development, teamwork, and fun through organized basketball.

Players will wear official NBA/WNBA team uniforms while participating in structured games and activities that promote confidence, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Age cutoff is August 31.

🏀 PLAYER EXPERIENCE

Each player will:

- Learn fundamental basketball skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, defense)

- Participate in structured 5v5 games

- Develop teamwork, leadership, and communication

- Build confidence through consistent coaching and play

We focus on learning the game the right way in a positive, development-first environment.

🏟️ SEASON FORMAT

- Games are played on Saturdays for 6 weeks

- Practices are held once per week on Tuesdays or Thursdays (up to 90 minutes)

- Players in 8U and below attend one practice per week per Jr. NBA guidelines

- Attendance at least one weekly practice is required for game participation

Games location: Trinity Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana

👕 TEAMS & UNIFORMS

- Each division includes a New Orleans Pelicans team

- Players may choose from additional NBA/WNBA teams to represent

- Official NBA reversible jersey and matching shorts are included

👨‍👩‍👧 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

- Players register individually

- Requests to play with friends or specific coaches are allowed but not guaranteed

- Team placement is designed for balanced competition and player development

📌 DIVISION NOTE

We strive to keep boys and girls in separate divisions for ages 12–14. However, if there are not enough participants to form a full girls’ division, those age groups may be combined into a co-ed division to ensure full participation and balanced teams.
