Jr. NBA Leagues are official recreational basketball leagues of the NBA and WNBA, which allow every young athlete to develop fundamental basketball skills and learn the core values of the game in a positive and inclusive environment.

Divisions include the following:

• 6–7 Division  
• 8–9 Division  
• 10–11 Division  
• 12–14 Division*

*The 12–14 division is intended to have separate male and female teams. However, if there are not enough female participants registered, the division may be combined and operated as coed.

🏀 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our program includes 5v5 basketball that teaches the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and overall game fundamentals.

Games are played at local facilities, such as churches.

🏀 PRACTICES

Team practices are held on Tuesdays or Thursdays for up to 90 minutes.

Practice locations include City of Alexandria facilities:
- Frank O. Hunter Gymnasium  
- Alexandria Teen Center  

Per Jr. NBA rules, 8U and under may only attend one practice per week.

All players are required to attend at least one practice per week in order to participate in Saturday game activities.

🏟️ GAMES & SEASON FORMAT

Teams will play games for 6 weeks on Saturdays.

For the Summer 2026 season, games will be held at:
Trinity Baptist Church – Pineville, Louisiana

👕 TEAM PLACEMENT

Players must register as Free Agents (individually).

Players may request to play with family or friends, but placement with friends or a specific coach is not guaranteed.

Team rosters will include 8 to 10 players, with few exceptions.

Jr. NBA leagues follow a “No Cut” policy, meaning every registered player will have a roster spot.

🤝 COACHING

All coaches are volunteers, and we welcome anyone interested in helping develop young athletes. No experience is required.

However, all coaches must complete:
Background check
CPR and First Aid certification (or attend provided training)
Concussion training
Abuse and neglect training (provided by our organization)

💡 IMPORTANT POLICIES

By policy, no refunds are given after the first day registration closes.

If a player will miss the entire season due to illness, a future credit may be considered at our discretion.

JCW FOUNDATION, INC. REFUND POLICY (2026)

By registering, parents/guardians and participants acknowledge and agree to the following:

• All participants are expected to commit to one practice per week and one game day each weekend. No refunds will be issued due to scheduling conflicts or overscheduling.

• Team placement, coach requests, teammate requests, and sibling placement requests are not guaranteed. No refunds will be issued based on team assignment.

• No refunds will be issued for suspensions or removal due to violations of program policies, including the Parent or Player Code of Conduct.

• Merchandise and custom jerseys are non-refundable. Jersey exchanges not caused by defects or order errors may require additional fees.

• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] no later than the first day after regular registration closes. Refunds are not available during late registration or after the refund deadline.

• Approved refunds will be issued minus processing fees, discounts, donations, uniform/equipment costs, and a $15 administrative fee.

• Illness or emergency situations occurring after the refund deadline may be considered for a future credit only if the participant misses the entire season and supporting documentation is provided. Credits are granted solely at the discretion of JCW Foundation, Inc.
