As a JCW Foundation, Inc. parent or guardian, you play a special role in the development of your daughter or son, and of his/her teammates. Your encouragement and good example will do more to ensure good sportsmanship and self-discipline than any other influence.
These Codes of Conduct provide guidance pertaining to behavior towards players, other parents, coaches, and officials, and can be summarized in the following three principles: (1) Supporting your child; (2) Setting a good example; and (3) Promoting a safe environment

Supporting Your Child:

  •  Constructive criticism is acceptable, but what we are not going to do is tear down or belittle the youth
  • Encourage your child to follow learned rules regarding inappropriate game behaviors, such as cheap shots, chop blocking, unsportsmanlike acts, etc. which can hurt other players and get them ejected from a game and suspended from playing in additional games
  • Explain to your child that there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding fighting. Fighting will not be allowed, and he or she may be suspended for a game or for a season as a result.

Setting A Good Example:

  • Be a positive role model role model
  • Refrain from the use of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol at any JCW Foundation, Inc. activity
  • Refrain from the use of derogatory comments, including, but not limited to profanity bullying, or offensive remarks directed towards players coaches, or officials
